Aug. 4: Few inland downpours Tuesday afternoon

After another muggy start to the day, temperatures will quickly heat into the lower 90s by the afternoon with feels like temperatures in the triple digits and a mix of sun and clouds. Our wind direction will draw out of the southeast this afternoon, helping to push the sea breeze a little further inland this afternoon. Storms will develop by mid-afternoon with rain moving towards the coast by the early evening. Storms today could produce heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and frequent lightning.
