Terms of the new deal have not been reported or released. Miami’s upcoming season will be Cristobal’s fifth as head coach of the Hurricanes. Cristobal was originally hired by Miami in 2021, signing a 10-year contract that was worth $80 million.Last season, the Canes reached the College Football Playoff National Championship Game for the first time in 24 years. The Hurricanes haven’t won a National Championship since 2001. They are among the favorites expected to contend for a title this season.
